For more than 115 years, The Salvation Army has been a major civic asset in the community.
The Salvation Army’s board members and community volunteers bring wisdom and support to the work of the Army in Cape Girardeau. Each advisory board member brings with him or her convictions, creativity, and wisdom from real life experiences in business and their local community.
The Salvation Army of Cape Girardeau offers a variety of committees and initiatives that board members may serve on, the general Advisory Board, committee's, and the local Corps Council.
Our community centers provides social services, food pantry assistance, family crisis support, educational and recreational programming and more. Perhaps the most important aid delivered at the local level through these community centers is spiritual sustenance delivered through weekly church services and spiritual education classes.
